Amy Bitner, LMT
Because of her belief in the preservation of optimal health using natural methods, Amy was drawn to pursuing an education in the massage therapy profession. A massage therapy session removes one from the outside world and aids in de-stressing and recharging our mind and body—the ideal solution for fundamental health and healing. She enjoys meeting with a client to discuss and develop a massage to suit their circumstances and achieve the results they need. Her points of focus are Deep Tissue, Neuromuscular, Sports, and Swedish Massage. In 2009, Amy obtained her massage education at Harrisburg Area Community College School of Massage Therapy with over 650 hours of training. She then successfully earned the National Certification for Massage Therapy & Bodywork and became a PA Licensed Massage Therapist.
In September 2009, Amy joined Camille Baughman & Associates and felt immediately welcomed and comfortable with the practice. Her past experience has been as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (1987 to 2011) and a Personal Fitness Trainer (American Council Exercise 1998-2002) and she follows good health practices with strength training, running most weekdays, and yoga. She believes strongly that soft tissue injury prevention should include regular stretching. To better assist her clients, she has completed training to include therapist-assisted stretching techniques. This includes studies in Aaron Mattes Active Isolated Stretching and/or Thai Yoga Massage.
Amy is available for appointments Monday thru Friday beginning at 12:00pm.
